We aim to provide innovative and interesting content, tailored to the needs and demands of each website's visitors. Our goal is to provide the information sought by visitors interested in the subject and keep them coming back. We also use advanced search engine optimization methods to drive more visitors to each site.
Technical Documentation Services
When crafting technical documentation, we use your standards of quality and the best standards of the industry. We take the time to understand the intended audience, and craft accordingly. Do you need technical documentation for engineers? User manuals for customers? We have the experience to do both.
We can customize and optimize an out of the box WordPress site to your needs and give you the tools and power to update the content as you need. Or, we can create a website from scratch using the latest principals of user experience design. Have a website that needs an overhaul? We can handle that too.
Vaal Web Properties was founded in August 2017 as a way for its founder, Alex Ashton, to consolidate his various web properties, publications and intellectual property under one roof and to foster continued growth in the web properties, development, domain management and publication fields.
Meet the Team
Alex has long maintained a presence on the web. His first domain website was a DC/MD/VA-centered music news website published and maintained as early as 2000. Between 2004 and 2006, he dabbled in political blogging, and by 2015 was back in the mix several personal projects. This included the Adult Student Resource Center, designed as a resource and community for adult students, whether engaging in traditional, online or self-learning education platforms.
Professionally, Alex has a background in IT support management, craft beer marketing and bartending, the service industry and technical writing and documentation. He has successful stints in various IT roles with the following companies over the last 14 years: Verizon, URS, Unisys, L-3 Communications, Liquidity Services, eXtensia Technologies and has done sales, marketing and taproom roles for four different Virginia craft breweries. Seven of the last 14 years were spent contracted to the IT department of the White House under two different administrations and included a major leadership role in the 2008 presidential transition.
Personally, he enjoys taking classes and learning, traveling the world (especially to South America - five-time visitor, six different countries), biking, cooking, hockey, soccer, and baseball.
